Hoomoos Asli
I've been on a quest to find the perfect hummus since we moved to NYC. There is a great place in Atlanta called Dalia's Grill in a small strip mall in Alpharetta. Totally unassuming but it has the best hummus in my opinion. I read something about Hoomoos Asli on Serious Eats so we ventured down there to check it out. The hummus was just OK. Had sort of a strange after taste. I totally mis-ordered and got a tuna sandwich hoping it would be similar to a tuna sandwich I used to get in Atlanta at OU for U. On a positive note, the falafel was pretty good. Nice green color and tasty. Overall I don't think we would return any time soon and the quest for the perfect hummus continues.

Hey Ginny, it's smitty, how's it going?
ReplyDeleteDid you ever go to Aladdin's in Sandy Springs? The falafel is really good (the hummus sucks though).
It sucks that's so hard to find good hummus. I actually get the Athenos stuff at the store most of the time. I'll have to check out Dalia's again, I don't remember if I had the hummus there or not.
Actually not Athenos, I usually get the Sabra from the store. It's not too bad.
